According to statistics released by the National Statistical Office of Mongolia, Mongolia’s coal production from January to June 2020 was 12.474 million tons, a decrease of 12.48 million tons or 50.0% from the same period last year. Among them, coal production in June was 1.867 million tons, down 46.7% year-on-year and up 11.9% month-on-month.
From January to June, Mongolia exported 8.676 million tons of coal, a decrease of 9.443 million tons or 52.1% from the same period last year. Among them, coal exports in June were 2.366 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.5% and a month-on-month increase of 8.8%.
