Goldwind Americas has installed the first turbines at the 200MW Golden South wind farm in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
The project, which is owned by Potentia Renewables, will feature 50 Goldwind 4.2MW machines.
Goldwind said the turbines are a mix of GW136 and GW155 models with 136-metre and 155-metre rotors.
It added that the turbines include some of the largest blades to be transported in North America, up to 76.2 metres.
