The World's First New Energy Channel: 72 Days into Operation to Reduce Coal Consumption by 900,000 Tons

On the 24th, China’s Qingyu DC Project, the world’s first major energy channel focusing on the transmission of new energy, has transported 2 billion kWh of “green power” to Henan Province, China, which is equivalent to reducing coal consumption by 900,000 tons.

It is understood that the low-end DC system of the project has been in continuous live operation for 72 days.

2 billion kWh clean energy is equivalent to reducing coal consumption by 900,000 tons and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.48 million tons. It plays an active role in promoting air pollution prevention, energy transformation and development in Central China, and ensuring safe and reliable power supply in Central China. Implementation of the Yellow River Basin ecological protection and high-quality development strategy.
