“The plan for nine months was 100.5%. During this period, Tengiz produced 20.2 million tonnes of oil. The volume of oil production at Kashagan reached 11.5 million tonnes, that is, the plan for January-September was fulfilled by 100%. Indicators of Karachaganak are 9 million, this is 102.2% compared to the plan for nine months,” the minister said.

According to the minister, 52.2 million tonnes of oil were exported in nine months. “During the reporting period, Kazakhstan produced 41.6 billion cubic metres of gas. This is 99% compared to the plan for January-September this year. Domestic consumption of natural gas reached 11.1 billion cubic metres, which is 100% according to the plan for nine months. The volume of gas exports amounted to 10.3 billion cubic metres, which is 78.6% according to the plan of the reporting month,” the minister said.

The reason for the lag in the volume of gas exports compared to the same period last year was that due to coronavirus infection in China, the volume of gas imports decreased, Nogayev explained. “According to the results for January-September of this year, the volume of oil refining amounted to 11.5 million tonnes, which is 98.1% according to the plan. For motor gasoline, the indicator reached 3.24 million tonnes, that is, according to the plan for the first nine months of this year, it is 101.4%. The volume of diesel fuel produced is 3.41 million tonnes, which is 99.1%,” he said.
