Recently, one of the key projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the transmission line of Pakistan's Murtyari to Lahore DC transmission project has been completed, and the commissioning of the DC station system of the Lahore converter station has been successfully completed.
This is Pakistan's first DC transmission project.
The Mertyari to Lahore DC transmission project starts from the Mertyari Converter Station in Sindh, Pakistan in the south, and ends at the Lahore Converter Station in Punjab, with a total length of 878 kilometers. The State Grid Corporation of China is constructed in the mode of construction, ownership, operation, and handover. The operation period is 25 years, and the total investment is 1.658 billion US dollars.
