November 2nd, according to new news from Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Industry Corporation, from January to September 2020, the company produced 15091 tons of uranium ore, a decrease of 10.6% from the same period last year. Among them, the share of production attributable to Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Industry Company was 8,309 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.6%. The main reason for the reduction in production was the adoption of anti-epidemic measures that led to the shrinkage of uranium mining operations and the reduction of production personnel.
During the statistical period, the sales volume of uranium ore in Kazakhstan Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation and its subsidiaries was 9,857 tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%; the average selling price was US$29.59/lb, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%. It is estimated that in 2020, the production of uranium ore will be 19-19,500 tons, and the share output will be 105-1108 million tons.
In 2019, Harbin Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation produced 22,808 tons of uranium ore. Before the outbreak, the company originally planned to produce 22,575 to 22,800 tons of uranium in 2020, with a share of 13 to 13.35 tons.
