The Ministry of Environment launched a task force on Nov. 4 to expand electric and hydrogen vehicle charging infrastructure. The objectives of the task force include better support and management of hydrogen charging station construction projects.
The ministry organized a team for the same purpose in August this year and the team has been expanded into the task force. It is to cover system improvement, project management, site finding, and safety-related promotion.
In addition, the ministry is planning to expand the roles of regional environmental offices in hydrogen charging station construction. The heads of the offices will be responsible for such construction projects so that those can be underway more efficiently. The heads will be required to attend project completion ceremonies and contribute articles as regional promotion activities.
