Vestas is to supply turbines totalling 40MW to a subsidiary of PNE for the Nowy Tomysl wind farm in Poland.
The wind farm, which is being developed by SPV Sevivon Windpark 2, will feature 12 V126-3.45MW wind turbines in 3.3MW operating mode combined with 137-metre towers.
It will be located in Kuslin in western Poland.
Deliveries and commissioning are expected to take place in fourth quarter of 2021.
The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning, as well as 20-year active output management 4000 service agreement.
The project will feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output, the company said.
Vestas Northern and Central Europe president Nils de Baar said: “This order underlines the strong partnership between PNE AG and Vestas and we are proud to be part of our customer’s success in Poland’s latest auction.
“Delivering best-in-class wind energy technology that further contributes to the energy transition in Poland, we look forward to realise the project for PNE.”
PNE chief executive Markus Lesser said: “We are delighted to be realising this new Polish wind project together with Vestas.
“This is a continuation of the good cooperation in previously realised projects in Germany and other European markets.”
