At 18:18 on November 11th, Unit 1 of Datang Dongying Power Generation Co., Ltd., the world's first 1,000MW ultra-supercritical, secondary reheat, six-cylinder six-exhaust coal-fired generating unit successfully completed 168-hour trial operation. All systems of the unit were running smoothly and the index parameters were excellent, marking the successful completion of the construction of Unit 1.
Located in Dongying Port Economic Development Zone, Dongying City, Shandong Province, Datang Dongying Power Generation Project built two 1,000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation units in the first phase with a total investment of 9.154 billion yuan. It is a key energy project in "Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone Development Plan" and "Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone Development Plan", and is a major power source for Dongying Yellow River 500kV transmission and transformation project, which crosses Yellow River.
Datang Dongying Power Generation Project is featured by high parameters, large capacity, and new technology. It adopts a number of integrated innovative technologies for the first time in the world and is the first case in China. The designed power supply coal consumption is 258.72 g/kWh, the plant power consumption rate is 3.88%, and the plant thermal efficiency is 49.4 %, the best among 1,000MW thermal power units in the same period. The steam turbine uses single-axis, six-cylinder six-exhaust, with an ultra-long axis of 59.627 meters. Compared with traditional five-cylinder four-exhaust 1,000MW steam turbine, it effectively reduces the heat energy loss. The boiler adopts domestically advanced ultra-supercritical secondary reheating tower furnace with an efficiency of 94.9%; seawater desalination technology is applied, which can save more than 2 million tons of fresh water each year. The project simultaneously constructs environmental protection facilities such as desulfurization, denitrification, ash removal, dust removal, and sewage treatment facilities with sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, smoke and dust emission concentration and other indicators reaching the design value, lower than the national ultra-low emission standards. It also achieved zero discharge of wastewater, creating a more energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and efficient 1,000MW secondary reheat coal-fired unit and providing a reference for the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of large-capacity, high-parameter clean and environmentally friendly thermal power plants in the future.
