Russian company Silovye Mashiny has expressed interest in participating in a project for the overhaul of units A1 and A2 of Nikola Tesla A thermal power plant (TPP) in Serbia, the Serbian energy ministry said.
"Silovye Mashiny is conducting important activities for state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) and I hope that we can continue our cooperation on new projects," energy minister Zorana Mihajlovic said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Russian company is currently engaged in a project for the overhaul of Djerdap 1 and Djerdap 2 hydropower plants in Serbia, Mihajlovic said during a meeting with the director of the Serbian unit of Silovye Mashiny, Mihail Tsvetkov.
Nikola Tesla A is part of the Termoelektrane Nikola Tesla (TENT) power generation complex, which also includes the TPP Nikola Tesla B, TPP Morava and TPP Kolubara power plants.
