Ivicom Energy has started the construction of the Krivača wind farm in the municipality of Golubac. It will be the first power plant to produce electricity from wind south of the Sava and Danube, given that all of wind farms so far have been built in Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina.
Ivicom Energy, a subsidiary of Austria’s Ivicom Holding, which is very active in renewables’ investments in the region, will invest EUR 140 million in the Krivača wind farm.
Dušan Muškatirović, the adviser at Ivicom Energy, said the wind farm is expected to start production in the middle of 2023. It is planned to have an annual production of 310 MWh, Sat Televizija reported.
13 kilometers of local roads and two 20-kilometer transmission lines will be built
The first phase of construction envisages building access roads for the transport of equipment, including wind turbines, and turbine blades. As previously announced, the wind farm should have 22 wind turbines.
“We expect that the construction of about 13 kilometers of local roads will be completed by the end of October or in early November,” Muškatirović said and thanked the authorities in the municipalities of Golubac, Kučevo and Veliko Gradište for creating the conditions for the investment to be realized.

He added local roads would help landowners in the area to reach their property more easily and that the the construction of two transmission lines with a total length of 20 kilometers would strengthen the electricity transmission system in the said part of Serbia and increase the quality and security of supply.
Elnos Serbia, part of Elnos Group, is the main contractor for two project segments: balance of plant (BoP) and connection to the transmission grid.
