Works on the construction of a substation control house, laying of 35-kV cables and fiber-optic transmission lines, the design and construction of a 110-kV substation and roads were finalized.
“At present we are carrying out wind farms construction in parallel at three sites in the Stavropol Krai and the Rostov Region. The Marchenkovskaya wind farm is the first Rosatom wind farm in the Rostov Region at the final stage of construction. Start-up and assembly works, preparation for voltage supply and wind farm launching are underway at this site,” said Andrey Nesteruk, deputy CEO for Wind Farm Lifecycle Management, NovaWind JSC.
The installed capacity of the future wind farm will amount to 120 MW, and the planned annual average output will exceed 402 GW*h. The site has 48 wind turbines installed with a capacity of 2.5 MW each. The amount of investments in the wind farm construction exceeds 16 billion rubles.

NovaWind JSC, a Rosatom division, is to consolidate the Rosatom efforts in the electric power industry advanced segments and technological platforms. Founded in September 2017, NovaWind manages all Rosatom competencies in wind energy sector: from design and construction to power engineering and wind farms operation. In total, by 2024, enterprises within NovaWind JSC will have to construct wind farms with a total capacity of 1.2 GW.
The first Rosatom wind park – the Adygeya wind farm – started supplying electric power and capacity to the wholesale electric power and capacity market in March 2020. The wind farm includes 60 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each; the wind farm installed capacity totals 150 MW.
In December 2020, Rosatom commissioned the largest wind farm in Russia – the Kochubeyevskaya wind farm – in the Stavropol Krai. The wind farm includes 84 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each; the wind farm installed capacity is 210 MW.
Currently, in addition to the Marchenkovskaya wind farm, projects for the construction of the Bondarevskaya wind farm (120 MW) in the Ipatovsky District and the Medvezhenskaya wind farm (60 MW) in the Trunovsky District of the Stavropol Krai are underway. The first one will include 48 wind turbines of 2.5 MW each, and the second one will have 24 wind turbines of the same capacity.
In April 2021, the Karmalinovskaya wind farm was commissioned in the Stavropol Krai. The wind farm with an installed capacity of 60 MW includes 24 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each.
