Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation (HTEC) will launch a new division in July to support hydrogen production, distribution and dispensing solutions in Québec, Canada.
Called HTEC Québec, the division will focus on HTEC’s partners and customers in Québec, Atlantic Canada and Nunavut, once launched on July 1.
On the launch, Colin Armstrong, HTEC’s President and CEO, said, “Across Eastern Canada, we’re seeing growing market interest in decarbonisation solutions involving hydrogen.
“The Province of Quebec has set clear government targets and policies supporting carbon-emission reductions, and there’s strong, proactive industry commitment to deliver low-carbon transportation solutions to customers and consumers.
“These are just two important reasons why HTEC Québec is an exciting next step in the evolution of our business.”
HTEC already has an established presence in Québec, boasting two retail hydrogen stations in design and construction, two in late-stage development, and four in early-stage development.
