Waaree Energies on Tuesday said it has completed the production of 300 megawatt (MW) solar modules for Aquamarine, a 250-MW solar project in California, United States, that is part of the first phase of Westlands Solar Park (WSP).
“This order has brought $105 million of foreign exchange into our country and created good employment opportunities. We plan to strengthen our base in the USA by opening a local office in California shortly,” said Sunil Rathi, director sales and marketing, Waaree Energies.
According to the company press release, it has provided 385, 390 Watt mono PERC solar modules for installation at the project. The Aquamarine project is part of the first phase of the WSP expected to start power generation in late 2021. The project has a capacity of 2,700 MW.
The solar module manufacturer has already supplied over 3 gigawatt of solar panels globally and has commissioned solar projects in India and Southeast Asia.
