Chinese turbine manufacturer MingYang Smart Energy is planning to set up a factory in Germany, according to a news report by Bloomberg.
The Bloomberg report said the facility would produce turbines totalling at least 1GW each year, and will also supply components and parts to European buyers.
The source of the story was an interview with MingYang vice president Ye Fan.
The report added that the aim is for MingYang to take a share of the growing European renewables market.
The company had not responded to a request for comment at press time.
