A new gas conversion to hydrogen plant has now started operation in China in which developer SWCHEM hopes will support the Chinese hydrogen ecosystem.
The hydrogen production plant converts shale gas into hydrogen with the plant set to support a Chongqing Yuanli fatty alcohol plant.
SWECHEM’s new plant adopts the company’s shale gas steam reforming hydrogen production technology with a two-stage air preheating process that can reduce shale gas consumption.
The reforming catalysts used in the plant have also been developed by SWCHEM.
