Resalta, based in Ljubljana, has entered a global disclosure system for environmental impact as CDP’s silver partner. Companies in the network provide services for the reduction of carbon emissions or carbon footprint. They help other firms in all aspects of their environmental path from climate scenario analysis to the development of environmental protection strategies with a safe water supply and without deforestation.

The accreditation is valid for Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Romania. Silver partners are active in designated markets and the gold partners can offer global support.

“We are extremely proud that CDP recognizes our commitment to assisting client efforts to reduce carbon emissions, and the unique risk-based methodologies incorporated in our approach,” Resalta’s Chief Executive Officer Luka Komazec said.

Clearer path toward carbon neutrality

Nothing can be improved if it isn’t measured, Managing Director at Resalta Serbia Đorđe Popović underscored. “We hope this partnership will prompt buyers to track, measure and report their emissions. Reporting helps us maintain transparency and responsibility and I have no doubt that our clients that decide to make use of our environmental impact reporting practices would find that their path to carbon neutrality will be much clearer.”

CDP, formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, is an international nonprofit organization that runs a global system of data collection for over 13,000 companies and 1,100 cities, countries and regions throughout the world including their environmental achievements.

Highly valued expertise

The accredited service providers help companies disclose their data to CDP so that it can identify shortcomings and recommend ways to improve the track record.

Paul Robins, Head of Corporate Partnerships at CDP, said the addition of Resalta to the network would bring highly valued expertise to companies in risk management and impact reduction.
