The Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has floated operations and maintenance (O&M) tenders for two solar projects in Karnataka.
The first tender is for the O&M of solar equipment along with grid-connecting equipment and balance of plant system for a 3 MW solar power project at Yelasandra in Kolar district of Karnataka for five years. The project was commissioned in December 2009.
The approximate value of the work is ₹16.01 million (~$211,832).
The last date to submit the bids is December 24, 2021. Bids will be opened on December 27.
Bidders are not required to submit any earnest money deposit.
The bidder should have successfully carried out at least one similar work of O&M of solar power projects of 1 MW capacity or above in India as a prime contractor for at least one year. The said project should have been in successful operation for at least one year in the last five years from the date of the issue of the tender. The value of work should not be less than ₹1.45 million (~$19,185) for one year.
The bidder’s minimum annual turnover in any two of the last five financial years should be at least ₹5.73 million (~$75,815).
The bidder should hold a valid Class-I and above electrical contractor license issued by the competent authority in Karnataka. Agencies whose contracts have been canceled or foreclosed by KPCL or any other government organization in the last three years due to unsatisfactory performance are not eligible to participate in this tender.
In the second tender, KPCL has invited bids for O&M of solar equipment along with grid-connecting equipment and balance of plant systems and connecting terminal bay at the 66 kV switchyard of the 5 MW Shivanasamudram solar project in Mandya district of Karnataka. The contract will be for five years. The project was commissioned in December 2012.
The estimated cost of the work is ₹18.75 million (~$248,086). As in the first tender, bidders are not required to pay any earnest money deposit.
The last date to submit the bids for this tender is also December 24. Bids will be opened on December 27.
The bidder should have successfully carried out at least one similar work of O&M of solar power projects of 1 MW capacity or above in India as a prime contractor for at least one year. The project should have been in successful operation for at least one year in the last five years from the date of the issue of the tender. The value of work should not be less than ₹1.67 million for one year.
The bidder’s minimum annual turnover in at least two of the last five financial years should be at least ₹6.7 million (~$88,649).
In April last year, KPCL had floated tenders for O&M of 3 MW of grid-connected solar projects each at Itnal village in Belagavi district and Yapaladinni village in Raichur district of Karnataka.
