Azure Power has fully commissioned a 300-megawatt Interstate Transmission System connected solar power project, Rajasthan 8, in Bhadla in the state of Rajasthan.
In a statement, Azure Power said the project was allocated by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The power generated from the project is being supplied by SECI at a tariff of $3.7 cents (INR2.58) per kilowatt-hour for 25 years.
"We are extremely delighted with the progress we have made in operationalizing our under-construction projects, despite the health and supply chain challenges in the last two years. We have operationalized close to 700 MWs in this fiscal year so far, which reflects our strong project development and execution capabilities," Azure Power Managing Director and CEO Ranjit Gupta said.
The company said that it now has operationalised 2,683MW of renewable energy assets in India.
