The evaluation and decision are based on technical and commercial criteria, as well as Vattenfall’s ambitious focus on sustainability in the supply chain,” says Ove Nilsson, head of Vattenfall Nuclear Fuel.
Trade in nuclear fuel follows regulations and guidelines from the Euratom Supply Agency (ESA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Westinghouse and Framatome are also audited according to Vattenfall's code of conduct for suppliers.
