Tata Power is targeting to achieve 10,000 megawatts of renewable energy portfolio in Rajasthan in the next five years.
In a statement, Tata Power said it currently has a 4,939 megawatt-peak (MWp) of portfolio and has so far commissioned 2,066MW in Rajasthan. It also has 2,873MW of solar projects under construction in Rajasthan which are expected to be completed in the next 12 to 24 months.
In line with this, the company participated in the investment summit in Rajasthan where it plans to develop up to 8,000MW of utility-scale projects, 1,000MW of solar rooftops, and 1,50,000 solar pumps.
It also aims to boost the electric vehicles (EV) charging infrastructure in the state and plans to install 10,000 public EV charging points in Rajasthan.
Currently, it has installed 1,100 home chargers and 100 public chargers in the state.
