Amazon partners with Vibrant Energy for its first wind-solar hybrid projects to be located in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
In a joint statement, they said that this is considered one of the largest wind-solar hybrid corporate power purchase agreements by a technology firm in India.
The two projects are expected to generate around 1.163 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy once operational, enough to power around 380,000 average-sized households in New Delhi annually.
This will bring Amazon’s utility-scale renewable energy projects in India, following the three solar farms in Rajasthan, for a total of over 720MW renewable energy capacity.
