Polenergia SA (WSE:PEP) said its unit developing the Strzelino photovoltaic (PV) project with a total capacity of 45.2 MWp has signed a deal with local builder P&Q for the construction of the solar park.
The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract is worth some PLN 68 million (USD 15.5m/EUR 14m). Under its terms, the solar park is to be completed by December 2023, Polenergia said in a press release on Friday.
Works include delivery and assembly of equipment, power plants and cabling. The contract does not envisage the supply of PV modules and inverters.
The Strzelino facility will be located in the northern Pomorskie Province and will generate some 48 GWh of clean electric energy annually. The project won an auction of the energy regulatory office on December 9, 2021 for new large onshore wind parks and photovoltaic farms, which will ensure 15-year support for part of its production.
Polenergia is the largest private energy group in Poland, according to its website. It is active in solar and wind energy with 314 MW of operational onshore farms and 37 MWps of PV parks. It takes pride also in developing 3,000 MW of offshore projects jointly with Danish peer Equinor.
