On December 28th, the world's first hydrogen-powered urban train with independent intellectual property rights, developed jointly byCRRC Changchun and Chengdu Railway Group, roled off the assembly line at the Chengdu CRRC Changchun production base in XinjinChengdu.
The train, which incorporates key technologies from the "Fuxing" high-speed train, is composed of four trains with a maximum speecof 160 km/h and a built-in "ydrogen power" system that provides a strong and durable power source for the vehicle, allowing it totravel 600 kilometers on a single charge.
The train uses a combination of hydrogen fuel cells and super capacitors as an energy source, replacing the traditional overheadcatenary power supply. The energy is produced through the electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen in the fuel cell, producing only water as a byproduct and emitting no nitrogen or sulfur.
The train has a maximum passenger capacity of 1,502 and is equipped with intelligent driving features such as automatic wake-up,start and stop, and return to the depot. lt also has a variety of intelligent monitoring systems and sensors, as well as 5G large-capacityTrain-to-round communication for mult-network integration and big data analvsis to evaluate the running status ot the trains forimproved safety.
