The visit was also regarded as part of the Mirziyoyev administration's efforts to facilitate energy transition through solar energy.
As a populous country in Central Asia, Uzbekistan has a huge potential for renewable energy development. The Government is implementing an ambitious renewable energy strategy to deploy up to 8 GW of solar capacity to meet the country's increasing energy demand in the next 3-4 years. In addition, energy storage systems (ESS) will play a vital role in supporting Uzbekistan's grid reliability and resilience.
JinkoSolar's Jianshan factory and its demonstration center are excellent examples of fulfilling the company's potential for R&D, automation, and digitalized manufacturing processes. The factory is expected to become another leading R&D and production center of latest ESS technologies.
"It is a great honor to have a chance to present the global experience of JinkoSolar to the delegation led by the Minister and discuss more opportunities for the rapid transition to green energy, taking into consideration the firm policy of Uzbekistan's commitment to increase the use of renewable energy sources," said Kangping Chen, CEO of JinkoSolar.
