Rome, 20 October 2019(Lana) The Executive Officer of the Italian Eni Group Claudio Descalzi said 'Libya along with the east Mediterranean is an important region for Eni for the large reserves of natural gas estimated at 10 billion cubic meters.
Descalzi stressed the importance of the region for Europe in general and for Eni in particular. The ENI Boss expressed no fear of the Turkish-Cypriot crisis in regard to possible Turkish military escalation in the region, stressing that Eni has joint ventures with the French Total in the Cypriot territorial waters for gas exploration.
