The Chinese government is promoting more research on the clean and efficient use of coal. Liu Zhongmin, the director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics at Chinese Academy of Sciences, is an expert in this field. As a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), he proposed that China should deepen international cooperation in energy and strengthen the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. He explained to CGTN how he believes it's possible to achieve both industrial development and carbon reduction goals. (CGTN)
