BP is on the lookout for collaborators, from individuals to large-scale organizations, who have new ideas, at any level of maturity, about how to implement circularity, systems integration, and eco-innovation.
With regard to circularity, bp said that it wants all of its offshore wind projects to be developed and operated with sustainability in mind. Therefore, the company is looking for any concepts that can help eliminate waste and pollution within offshore wind or assist with recycling materials.
When it comes to systems integration, offshore wind has the potential to be further integrated within the wider energy system, and bp is looking for ideas that can increase flexibility and balance supply and demand of offshore wind energy.
And finally, when it comes to eco-innovation, bp’s sustainability frame has dedicated aims to enhance biodiversity and champion nature-based solutions where the company works. BP is looking for solutions to further this and mitigate the potential negative effects of offshore wind.
”If you think you have the next great idea, apply on our dedicated websites. bp’s offshore wind team will be reviewing all submissions and those we find exciting, we will call in for virtual demonstrations before making final decisions,” bp said.
