Four legacy hydroelectric power facilities will be inducted into the Hydro Hall of Fame for 2023.
The winners will be officially announced during the opening keynote session of HYDROVISION International on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
The Hydro Hall of Fame recognizes extraordinary hydro achievement throughout the world, with a special emphasis on long-lasting facilities. Hydro Review has been inducting legacy facilities in the Hydro Hall of Fame since 1995, awarding this designation to plants that have been operating continuously for 100 years or more and have made a significant contribution to the industry.
Together, this prestigious group demonstrates the long-lasting and significant contributions of hydroelectric plants, including clean renewable power, emission-free generation and reliability.
The 2023 winners reflect the global nature of Hydro Review and HYDROVISION International, with plants being inducted from Canada, Italy and the U.S.
They join an exclusive group; only 63 hydropower plants have been inducted as of 2022.
HYDROVISION International is being held July 11 to 13 in Charlotte, N.C., U.S.
New this year, there will be an opportunity to meet the winners in person in one of the Knowledge Hubs, with time to learn more about the facilities and network with their representatives during a special reception.
