Golden Solar is pleased to announce the successful completion of its 4.8 GW Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin-layer (HJT) solar cell and module production line at its production base in Jiuquan City. The first batch of 210 double-sided microcrystalline heterojunction solar cells with conversion efficiency exceeding 25.0% are already in production.
This is the first and largest domestic mass production base for 210 GW-level double-sided microcrystalline heterojunction solar cells. The production process includes a CVD equipped with double-sided microcrystalline technology and PVD, which uses higher-performance materials on low-cost 210-size chips to produce HJT with a high conversion efficiency of over 25.0%.
The project with a total investment of CNY 4.191 billion is initiated jointly by Guangdong OHE New Energy Technology Co.Ltd. and Golden Solar. The project aims to improve the product performance while reducing manufacturing costs, and provide overseas customers with efficient HJT solar cells and modules, making it a mainstream product in the photovoltaic industry.
