LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (601012.SH), a major manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon wafers and photovoltaic solar modules, announced on 27 April 2023 that it intends to launch a solar module project in Heshan City, Guangdong Province, China, with a total investment of 1.999 billion yuan.
The project includes workshop and equipment leasing, secondary assembly and installation of equipment, and investment in module production equipment. It is expected to start production in the second quarter of 2024 and reach production by the end of 2024, with a production capacity of 10GW of monocrystalline solar modules.
