Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TRPEL) subsidiary, TP Saurya, entered a 25-year power purchase agreement with Tata Power Trading Company to develop 200 megawatts (MW) solar project in Rajasthan expected to start by March 2024.
In a statement, Tata Power said the power plant project to be located in Bikaner and will be connected to the Central Transmission Utility Bus, supplying 485 million units of energy every year.
This brings TRPEL capacity to 6,788MW.
Of the total, the installed capacity is at 3,917MW–2,989MW of which were solar and 928MW wind. A total of 2,871MW were still under different stages of implementation.
