Bladt Industries completed the manufacturing of 41 transition pieces (TP) for the Vesterhav project in April under a contract signed with Vattenfall in 2021. Each TP has a height of 22.5 metres and weighs approximately 260 tonnes.
The monopiles, which will be installed by DEME Group and its jack-up vessel Innovation, are produced by EEW in Rostock, Germany.
The Vesterhav Nord & Syd offshore wind farms are being built some 10 kilometres off the west coast of Jutland near Thyborøn (Nord) and Søndervig (Syd).
With a combined capacity of 344 MW, the project will produce enough electricity to supply 350,000 Danish homes in total.
