Aligning with the company’s ambition to become a major player in energy transition and sustainability, TotalEnergies has introduced their Sunshine range of solar lanterns to Fiji.
Managing director and country chair Dino Michael Cuaycong said the launch of the product line was part of a larger mission of spreading the message of renewable energy, that has this far been on a corporate and business-to-business level.
“But today, we come closer to the ground by introducing a new range of products which will be available to all our end-user customers,” Mr Cuaycong said.
“It’s also part of our drive to expand the services that we offer through our stations and our shops, and it really coincides with the company’s direction towards developing a more sustainable business model for our operations.”
Developed, marketed and distributed by TotalEnergies, the products launched on May 24, 2023, are the Pocket Sunshine, One Sunshine, Home Sunshine and Family Sunshine.
Catering to all levels of use, the Sunshine line has portable lightweight options like the Pocket Sunshine to full solar kits, including a torch and radio in addition to three lamps and a phone charger in the Home Sunshine.
“I’m given to understand this would also be good for a kava session,” Mr Cuaycong suggested.
“It provides enough light for a whole kava session which could be anywhere from six to 17 hours if I understand correctly.”
All four products are available at all TotalEnergies outlets.
Further expansion will include introducing five additional similar products and availing the full range of products at the outlets of partner companies.
