Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has partnered with key players in Vietnam and Laos to strengthen the ASEAN power grid interconnectivity.
TNB through its subsidiaries signed a total of three memoranda of understanding. One of which, was signed by TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd (TRe) with Saigon Gia Dinh h Electric Joint Stock Company (EHCMC).
It also signed an MoU with the North Power Service Joint Stock Company (EVNNPS), through TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd (TNB REMACO), and with Electricite Du Laos (EDL) through TNB Genco.
“Through the MoU between TRe and EHCMC, we look forward to leveraging our combined strength and expertise that can unlock the vast RE potential in Vietnam,” TNB President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Indera Ir. Baharin Din said.
“In TNB REMACO-EVNNPS collaboration, TNB is offering valuable services such as O&M and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).”
Meanwhile, the TNB Genco-EDL MoU is intended to explore investment opportunities in renewables and off-take opportunities through the Laos-Thailand-Malaysia Power Integration Project.
