Trina Solar to Launch Silicon Material Production Project in China

Trina Solar (688599.SH), a leading global provider of integrated solar PV and smart energy solutions, recently announced that it plans to establish a mono-crystalline silicon ingot pulling and related projects in Shifang Economic Development Zone, Sichuan Province, China.
 

The project aims to achieve a production capacity of 25GW of silicon ingots per year and will have a total investment of approximately 10.7 billion yuan, of which Trina Solar will contribute approximately 8.7 billion yuan and Shifang State Holding Company, Trina’s partner, will contribute approximately 2 billion yuan. The total construction period of the project is 12 months.
