The developer of the Dieppe Dieppe Le Tréport project signed a capacity reservation agreement with the Navantia-Windar consortium to manufacture 62 wind turbine jacket foundations for the wind farm in November 2022.
The foundations for this contract will be four-legged jackets, weighing around 1,000 tonnes.
In March this year, Ocean Winds signed another agreement with Navantia Seanergies for the manufacture of elements for future offshore wind farms internationally.
Navantia Seanergies was also awarded its first turnkey (EPC) contract from Ocean Winds, consisting of two substation jackets, one of them for the Dieppe le Tréport electrical substation and the second for the Îles d’Yeu et Noirmoutier wind farm.
The Dieppe le Tréport wind farm will feature 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW wind turbines to be manufactured in Le Havre.
Once fully commissioned in the second half of 2026, the wind farm is set to supply nearly 850,000 people with sustainable electricity.
