Nervion Joins Dieppe Le Tréport Construction Team

06 Jun 2023  by offshorewind
Amper Group, through its subsidiary Nervion Naval Offshore, has been awarded a contract to construct and assemble wind turbine jacket components for the 496 MW Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm in France.
Nervion Naval Offshore’s scope of work involves the prefabrication of metallic components such as knots, and secondary steel, and the assembly of the jackets that will be built by the Navantia-Windar consortium.

The construction and assembly will take place between 2023 and 2025 in Fene, La Coruña, Spain. The contract is the largest in the company’s history, totaling more than EUR 140 million, according to Amper Group.

The developer of the Dieppe Dieppe Le Tréport project signed a capacity reservation agreement with the Navantia-Windar consortium to manufacture 62 wind turbine jacket foundations for the wind farm in November 2022.

The foundations for this contract will be four-legged jackets, weighing around 1,000 tonnes.

In March this year, Ocean Winds signed another agreement with Navantia Seanergies for the manufacture of elements for future offshore wind farms internationally.

Navantia Seanergies was also awarded its first turnkey (EPC) contract from Ocean Winds, consisting of two substation jackets, one of them for the Dieppe le Tréport electrical substation and the second for the Îles d’Yeu et Noirmoutier wind farm.

The Dieppe le Tréport wind farm will feature 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW wind turbines to be manufactured in Le Havre.

Once fully commissioned in the second half of 2026, the wind farm is set to supply nearly 850,000 people with sustainable electricity.
