Kocaer Celik to Conduct Feasibility Study for 24-Mw Geothermal Project in Aydin, Türkiye

The Board of Directors of Kocaer Celik has announced plans to conduct a feasibility study for a 24-MW geothermal power plant investment in the J-443 license area located in Horsunlu-Ortakci Village of Aydin province, Kuyucak District, Türkiye.

This announcement follows the transfer of the J-443 license for Geothermal Resources and Natural Mineral Water from Aydem Renewable Energy to Kocaer Celik a few weeks ago. Following the completion of the relevant permits and procedures after the transfer, the operating license and a total area of 10,844.18 hectares have been acquired by the Kocaer Celik.

In order to strengthen its position as the leading company in green production in the iron and steel industry, the company aims to diversify its clean energy production resources with geothermal energy production, following its roof-type solar power plants (GES).
