According to a local news, Kaya Hotels plans to drill three boreholes within the borders of the Merkez district of Isparta in Türkiye to search for geothermal resources, and to drill five natural mineral water exploration wells.
Kaya Turistik Tesisler Titreyengol Otelcilik A.S. is planning to drill for natural mineral water and geothermal resource exploration under the Natural Mineral Water 2022/01 exploration license area located near Kadilar Village, Merkez District of Isparta Province. The value of the project is calculated as 3 million liras (approx. USD 115,600).
Within the scope of the project, three geothermal and five natural mineral water exploration drilling works will be carried out on an area of 16,000 square meters, each location of which occupy 2,000 square meters. It will not be moved to another drilling location until the exploration activity is completed at any drilling location. Geothermal resource exploration drilling wells will go down to a maximum depth of 1100 meters and the wells to be drilled are for detection and exploration purposes. Cores will be taken during the exploration drilling and geophysical well log measurement will be made.
With the drilling data to be obtained as a result of these studies, the characteristics and reserves of the reservoirs for geothermal and natural mineral water will be determined. According to the source data obtained, drilling wells are planned to be drilled within the license area in order to use the geothermal fluids and natural mineral water in the future.
