"In August of this year, 100,000 tonnes of oil from the stocks of the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. Company will be transported toward the Samara oil transfer station for further transportation to the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point [for delivery to Germany]," the press service said.
"The Bolshoi Chagan oil pumping station received 11,600 tonnes of oil between August 3 and August 5, and the remaining volume will be received from August 6 to August 29," it said.
"Transportation to the Samara oil transfer station is expected to take place from August 25 to August 29 of this year. Delivery to the Adamova Zastava oil delivery point has been scheduled for the last days of August of this year - approximately from August 28 to August 30," the press service said.
A number of media outlets said earlier that the operations of one of the Druzhba oil pipeline's strings bound for Germany were suspended on Sunday due to a leak from its section located in Polish territory. The second string of the pipeline functions as usual.
Kazakhstan had transported 290,000 of oil to Germany by early July. KazTransOil has a quota for 2023 from Russia's Transneft to pump 1.2 million tonnes of Kazakh oil to Germany. The first batch of Kazakh oil was shipped to Germany in February 2023.
Kazakh crude is transported through the Druzhba pipeline to the oil refinery in Schwedt, Germany, which was owned by Russia's Rosneft but taken over by Germany's Federal Network Agency in September 2022. The Russian oil company's subsidiary Rosneft Deutschland controlled about 12% of Germany's oil refining capacity and was one of the biggest players on the local fuel market. The Schwedt refinery, which has capacity to produce 11.6 million tonnes of oil products per year, has been linked to the Druzhba pipeline and Russian oil fields from its inception.
