Basra (IraqiNews.com) – A large oil and gas shipment in the Gulf from the UAE’s Jebel Ali Port in Dubai to Iraq’s Umm Qasr Port was recently handled successfully by Zajel, a logistics company based in the United Arab Emirates, reaching a key milestone for the business.
The large cargo had a volume greater than 5,000 cubic meters and weighted almost 500 tonnes. The package was delivered by Zajel’s freight forwarding division employing break bulk, specialized gear such as flat racks and open-top containers, as well as standard containers.
The shipment included a variety of tools, pipelines, modules, and other essential equipment for the oil and gas industry that is essential to Iraq’s energy sector. Some of the most intricate ones topped 22 meters in length and weighed more than 80 tonnes according to Zajel.
