The agreements secure the supply, fabrication, and delivery of monopile foundations for the 1.1 GW wind farm which is currently progressing towards full construction.
Fabrication of the units is due to commence in late 2024 with delivery to the project scheduled for late 2025.
The monopiles will each have a maximum outer diameter of 11.5 metres, a maximum length of 110 metres, and a weight of up to 2,700 tonnes.
The Inch Cape offshore wind farm will feature up to 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines sited in the North Sea 15 kilometres from the east coast of Angus in Scotland.
The wind farm is owned by Inch Cape Offshore Wind Limited, a joint venture company held equally by Red Rock Power and ESB.
The construction of the project’s offshore substation commenced in November of last year. A consortium of Siemens Energy and Iemants, a Smulders subsidiary, is responsible for the delivery of the offshore substation for the Scottish wind farm.
