The MOU was signed by Ilen Kardani, Geo Dipa’s Director of Exploration and Commercial Development, and Hermawati Parinduri, Director of KKT, at the KKT Office in Jakarta.
According to the MOU, Geo Dipa and KKT will collaborate on the use of joint land to support the geothermal project plans and will conduct joint social management during the implementation of the project. The North Patuha area is an exploration area held by Geo Dipa and is adjacent to the Cibuni exploration license area that is owned by KKT.
“KKT has a small geothermal field in Patuha, our neighbors are only GeoDipa and the community around the work area, therefore we will work together to maintain conduciveness for the development of geothermal projects,” commented Hermawati.
Ilen further explained that Geo Dipa is currently in the process of preparing for exploration in the North Patuha area. With its proximity to the Ciwidey area, it was deemed a good decision to collaborate between KKT and Geo Dipa to support the project.
“It is also necessary to continue the synergy that has been carried out between KKT and the community, so that conduciveness in the region can be well maintained. “Through this collaboration, it also proves the company’s commitment to accelerating the use of geothermal energy,” Ilen further said.
Geo Dipa currently operates the 60-MW Patuha Unit 1 geothermal power plant. Efforts are underway for the 55-MW Patuha Unit 2 expansion, with the company recently announcing a tender for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the project.
