Welcome to the 1st Southern Africa and 2nd East Africa LPG Expo - Mozambique 2024, a premier event set to shape the trajectory of the thriving LPG market in the Southern and East Africa region. With the participation of over 40 exhibitors and 2000 regional stakeholders, this expo stands as the most significant gathering in the area, poised to unlock new horizons in the LPG sector.

In a groundbreaking move, the expo combines the strengths of the two biggest expos in the regions to create a unified platform. This merger aims to open up more LPG opportunities and bridge solutions between Southern and East Africa. By fostering collaboration and synergies, the event seeks to accelerate the development of the LPG sector, ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for the regions.

In the current landscape, Southern and East Africa's LPG opportunities are driven by population growth, urbanisation, energy crisis, and the rising demand for cleaner energy. Despite substantial LPG consumption growth, challenges like inadequate infrastructure, affordability, and accessibility persist. The conference and expo aim to address these challenges by facilitating connections and information sharing among key LPG leaders, fostering sustainable growth in the Southern and East Africa LPG market.

The event will take place in Mozambique, a country at the forefront of adopting LPG as a clean cooking source in both Southern and East regions. Mozambique's commendable efforts make it the ideal host for this event, with ambitious plans to generate an annual output of 30,000 tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) starting this year. Mozambique is positioned to achieve a substantial 70% reduction in imports, concurrently fostering increased demand for LPG within its borders.
