With a total of 628 wind turbines, Enercon achieved its operational goals over the past year.
In 2022 it completed 522 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 1,887 MW. The lower production was attributed to the effects of the external crisis.
“This is a great performance by our team. “I am especially happy that the year 2023 was still influenced by the effects of the external crisis,” Enercon CEO Udo Bauer said in a LinkedIn statement on Tuesday.
Founded in 1984, Enercon offers wind turbine models in the nominal power range of 2 MW to 6 MW.
One of the largest wind farm projects currently under construction by the company is the 816 MW Horizonte wind farm located in the Atacama Desert in Chile. The project was originally contracted with the Chilean electricity company Colbún in 2019.
