Pakistan’s state-owned Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) announced a “significant” natural gas discovery at it’s Kharo-1 well in the Khewari exploration block in the Sindh province.
When drilling the well, OGDCL reached a total depth of 3,762 meters. Testing resulted in a production rate of 1.4 MMcfgs and 93 bpd of condensate. According to the company, drilling and production testing results were “attained at a 32/64-inch choke size, under a wellhead flowing pressure of 2,737 pounds psi, emanating from the Massive sand strata of the Lower Goru Formation.
Additionally, this natural gas discovery has the potential to enhance OGDCL’s oil and gas reserves. The company attributes the successful find to its “diligent and strategic” exploration and drilling approach.
