French state-controlled power group EDF (EDF.PA) said it would exercise an option to sell its 49.99% stake in CENG, which owns five nuclear reactors across three nuclear power plants in the United States.
“The disposal of CENG shares is part of the disposal plan of non-core assets announced by EDF Group,” added EDF in a statement on Wednesday.
U.S. company Exelon (EXC.O) owns the remaining 50.01% of CENG.
