Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and WANG Zhigang, Ministry of Science and Technology joined together to discuss the future joint projects as well as the framework for further collaboration.
One of the main projects discussed is aimed at an exchange process in order to prepare for cooperation on regulations, codes and standards all relevant to hydrogen electric mobility.
Common German-Chinese projects will continue to happen via the Sin-German Electro Mobility Innovation and Support Centre (SGEC). The SGEC will be led by Germany and China, with NOW GmbH and the China Automotive Technology and Research Centre taking the management role.
Within the SGEC, areas such as hydrogen electric mobility, safety in battery and hydrogen and the integrations of renewable energies in the transport sector in terms of electricity and hydrogen will be discussed.
In Germany discussions centred around the use of hydrogen fuel are gaining momentum, while in China important funding policy decisions are to be made in the coming year.
