Verdagy announced on Thursday that Shell has provided technical endorsement of its 20-MW eDynamic advanced alkaline water electrolysis (AWE) systems after thorough technical feasibility and technology development reviews.
Verdagy claims that its electrolysers provide the lowest levelised cost of hydrogen (LCOH) and has committed to achieving the US Department of Energy's (DoE) goal of USD 2 per kilogram of LCOH by 2026
Earlier this month, the Moss Landing, California-based firm said it has been awarded a USD-39.6-million (EUR 36.6m) grant by the DoE to speed up the high-volume manufacturing of its eDynamic systems in the company's Silicon Valley factory.
