Haryana-based Luminous said on Friday it will manufacture polycrystalline, monocrystalline, N-type and tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) panels at the new facility. The production base is located in Radrapur and spans 10 acres (4.05ha).
With the new plant in operation, Luminous expects to better address the demand for photovoltaic (PV) panels in the residential and commercial rooftop segments. Its CEO Preeti Bajaj said: “Solar will be a significant part of our business, and we see it as a major growth enabler as we aim to double our growth in the next three years.”
The company’s new factory will host a PV module performance efficiency and reliability evaluation lab. In this regard, Luminous said it will be partnering with the University of New South Wales, Australia.
